Ekco U76 Bakelite Radio

Super stylish art deco radio cased in wonderful brown bakelite with cream bakelite vents. Made c1948 by Ekco (EK Cole Ltd of Southend-on-Sea). This is being sold as a decorative piece only and if the new owner wants to attempt to get it working, it should only be tested by a qualified electrician as it still contains the original valves and cabling. The bakelite is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks; there is one very small scratch to the front as photographed. It looks fabulous on display and is a charming piece of later art deco history. Width - 35 cms. Height - 22.75 cms. Depth - 18 cms.
